Life..

Life: Embracing the Journey, One Precious Moment at a Time

Ever pause and truly think about life? That intricate, beautiful, sometimes chaotic tapestry we’re all a part of? It’s a common refrain, isn't it? Life is so precious. Yet, in the hustle and bustle of our daily routines, do we sometimes find ourselves taking it for granted? I think many of us do. Some of us are on a clear path, knowing our purpose, while others are still beautifully exploring, figuring out what it truly means to value it.

One of the most profound truths I’ve learned, a mantra that sees me through sunshine and storm, is this: This too shall pass. Whether it's a moment of pure joy we wish could last forever, or a challenge that feels insurmountable, remembering the transient nature of all things can bring both appreciation and solace.

So, how do we navigate this incredible journey? Here are a few thoughts I try to live by:

Cultivate a Resilient Mindset

Our outlook shapes our reality. It's not about ignoring the tough stuff, but about choosing how we respond.

  • Always think positive: It’s not always easy, but actively seeking the good, the lesson, or the silver lining can transform our experience.

  • Believe: Believe in yourself, in the good of others, in the possibility of your dreams.

  • Hope: Let hope be the anchor for your soul, firm and secure, especially when the waters get choppy.

  • Stay happy: Happiness isn't a destination, but a way of travelling. Find joy in the small things.

  • Try to be content with what you got: Gratitude shifts your focus from what's lacking to the abundance already present. And while you're at it, Remove Jealousy from your dictionary! It truly is the thief of joy.

Nurture Your Inner World

The relationship you have with yourself is the foundation for everything else.

  • Love self: This isn't vanity; it's vital. Treat yourself with the same kindness and compassion you'd offer a dear friend.

  • Stay healthy, love yourself, take care of yourself, prioritise yourself. This isn't selfish. Because when you are healthy and independent, you will be able to take care of your loved ones who are dependent on you. You can't pour from an empty cup.

  • Don't bother what others think or say about you. Honestly, people who know you won't talk ill about you, and you need not care about people who don't know you. Their opinions are reflections of them, not you. And on that note, Don't explain things to others if they're not open to understanding. Your truth doesn't need constant validation.

Take Inspired Action & Let Go

Life is a dance between making things happen and allowing things to happen.

  • Focus on what you want: Where your attention goes, energy flows.

  • Move on, past can't be changed: Learn from it, yes, but don't live there. The present is where your power lies.

  • Do things that's in your control, know things that are not in your control. This is a game-changer for peace of mind.

  • Do what you love to do, no matter what. Passion fuels a fulfilling life. And please, Don't give excuse of no time, everyone has time. It's about priorities.

  • Read books: Expand your mind, gain new perspectives, and travel to different worlds without leaving your chair.

Trust the Process

Sometimes, we need to lean into something bigger than ourselves.

  • Believe in almighty or superpower or the universe, things that you want will eventually come to you no matter what. This isn't about passive wishing, but about aligning your actions with a deep-seated faith that things will work out, perhaps in ways you don't expect.

Life is an ever-unfolding adventure. It’s about embracing the journey, learning the lessons, cherishing the connections, and valuing every precious moment. It's about finding your rhythm, listening to your heart, and living as authentically as you can.

Health..

How are you?!! Days getting busier to all of us and a quick pulse check.. "how are you .." Have you ever asked yourself how you are doing,. We should take time to listen to our body, it gives signals to even slightest change in the routine inside which is like a wake up call. Normally we tend to ignore it or go past it. We should start listening to us. It's always good to take care of self, so that we could take care of our loved ones.  Recently I experienced a reality check which showed me how physically unfit I am! (no kidding.. it's fact).  In 2022 I came out of my comfort zone and gave myself some me-time, completed some of the items from long pending and lengthy " To do " list. Experienced travelling, surrendered to the nature, created some blissful memories. And then reality hit me hard. I was in a trip to Bali and had to walk a lot to get to the famous natural tourist spots. It was 7 days trip, and I pushed myself for few days.. may be out of enthusi...

Hope.. Belief..

Our lives are mostly like a roller coaster rides, lots of ups and downs. It reminds me of a scene in one of k-drama series , someone would ask the protagonist to draw a graph of his life. It starts from zero and goes to a peak, then goes way down even beneath the ground level... it was funny to watch, but I had felt exactly the same. So much happened that sometimes I couldn't realise the goodness around me. I would feel like it's not my cup of coffee. I became so hard on me, stayed away from rest of the world. I loved being in my very own world.  My mother always said that what we think comes to us, if we fill our thoughts with positivity then we attract positive things. I admire her very much for being my positivity. Despite of all her health conditions right from my childhood, I never saw her complaining about anything. She loved her teaching job, did everything meticulously and her students adored her very much.  She never scolded anyone, always encourages everyone. She us...

Travel..

Do you like travelling?  I always had passion for travel, may be because of my childhood memories. My parents and me used to travel often during summer vacations. Mostly travelled around whole of Tamil Nadu, India.  May be I just love the idea of travelling, right from packing stuffs, counting down the number of days to start of the trip, seeing around new places, trying out the famous local food. Loved doing every single thing about the travel!  As years passed on, just re-kindling my memory on how this passion grew in me. The person behind my passion is my dad, who was also a History Teacher by profession. He shared a lot of Tamil history to me. We used to travel to different places in Tamil Nadu, relating to the History. At home, we used to have many Maps (not google map, Hard copy of official Maps!) World Map, India Map, State Map, District Maps etc.. This helped me to see through the geography of places. Note: I have my own World map, and mark the places visited :)...
