Women's day..

Women's day.. celebrated annually as to focus on women's rights such as gender equality, violence and abuse against women,.

When we get to the roots of where it all began, why there is a separate day..  why is it on Mar 8th, since when the day is getting celebrated..

We can go way back to 1909 when the idea of women's day originated in the U.S. with the American Socialist Part. In 1910, a German feminist advocated for a global day at a socialist women's conference in Copenhagen. The following year, events across Europe marked the day, and during World War I, women used it to protest the armed conflict, which lasted from 1914 to 1918. In 1917, International Women’s Day is observed on March 8 after a massive protest in Russia that led to the country’s eventual withdrawal from the war. The United Nations officially recognized the day in 1979.

It's important because the day is as a rallying point to build support for women's rights and participation in the political and economic arenas. The day is celebrated to recognize women's achievements and to promote policy changes. It's also a day to raise awareness about gender disparities and to encourage action toward a more inclusive society

Pulse check: Where are we today on women's rights, equality, empowerment? I think we have improved but not good enough. We do have women achieving in various fields across the world but on the flip side we do come across news about violence and injustice to women across the world. The question haunts me these days is that what can be done to make human remain more human than turning into beasts. How can we cultivate more empathy, conscience, common-sense in people, and make this world still livable!

With that note, thanks for reading it through..
a Very Happy Women's day to all lovely women out there.

How are you?!! Days getting busier to all of us and a quick pulse check.. "how are you .." Have you ever asked yourself how you are doing,. We should take time to listen to our body, it gives signals to even slightest change in the routine inside which is like a wake up call. Normally we tend to ignore it or go past it. We should start listening to us. It's always good to take care of self, so that we could take care of our loved ones.  Recently I experienced a reality check which showed me how physically unfit I am! (no kidding.. it's fact).  In 2022 I came out of my comfort zone and gave myself some me-time, completed some of the items from long pending and lengthy " To do " list. Experienced travelling, surrendered to the nature, created some blissful memories. And then reality hit me hard. I was in a trip to Bali and had to walk a lot to get to the famous natural tourist spots. It was 7 days trip, and I pushed myself for few days.. may be out of enthusi...
